Public Will Have One On One Opportunity During Upcoming DCSO Forum

(Herman) The public will have the opportunity to interact directly with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office at an upcoming Community Forum this Monday, June 7th.  The forum will be held at the Trinity Community Center on Hwy P in the town of Herman from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  While appearing on WBEV’s Community Comment, Sheriff Dale Schmidt gave details about the event saying some food items will be provided.  He adds that alongside himself, some of his deputies will be on hand to discuss current crime trends, geographic responsibilities, and also share some crime prevention tips.

One such crime tip is crime prevention through environmental design.  This includes keeping your house and your property in good repair.  Schmidt says this is more than just making your house look nice, but keeping your trees pruned, garbage picked up, and the property well lit.  He says it is a great way to show that criminals are not invited into your area.

Sheriff Schmidt says everyone is welcome to attend, bring their questions, and take advantage of the valuable one on one time the forum provides.
