(Beaver Dam) City officials in Beaver Dam are holding a public meeting Thursday (8/12) to get feedback about the proposed reconstruction of East Davis Street in 2022. The nearly half-mile project runs from South Spring Street to South University Avenue and includes reconstruction of the pavement including curb and gutter, sidewalk replacement, streetlights, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main. Right-of-way acquisitions for curb ramp improvement and temporary limited easements for grading are anticipated.
The project design team is seeking the community’s input on any concerns that individuals may have on the project’s impact. Persons with a concern for, or knowledge about, historic buildings and structures and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide comments to the local units of government or the consultant.
Due to the safety of the public, the public meeting will be held virtually via Zoom video conference. The meeting will be live Thursday from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. A short presentation, which includes a basic overview of project concepts, will begin at 5:30pm. Representatives of the City of Beaver Dam and project design staff will be available for the duration of the virtual meeting to answer questions and provide additional information regarding the project.
