Public Encouraged To Join PAVE’s Community Painting Event

(Beaver Dam) The public is invited to take part in a community event supporting a Beaver Dam non-profit. PAVE, which stands for Protect; Advocate; Validate; and Educate, works to empower those affected by violence.

The organization is hosting a painting workshop with world-renowned artist Stephen Bennett. Those who participate, will be able to paint a tile for a community mosaic mural that will hang in the PAVE building for several decades.

The Phoenix Building in Beaver Dam is PAVE’s new home for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Officials with the organization say they hope the colorful phoenix symbol of the victorious creature rising from the ashes will be a symbol of hope and healing for all the survivors they encounter.

The painting workshop will be held on August 8th from 3pm to 7pm at 111 East Burnett Street in Beaver Dam.
