(Beaver Dam) Progress is being made on a new residential housing subdivision in Beaver Dam. Ribbon was cut Thursday on the Saybrook, a model home opening at Stoney Ridge. The Saybrook is one of eight floor plans ranging from 1,610 to 2,288 square feet and multiple elevations, available through Harbor Homes. Ground was broken on the housing development last May.
Neumann Developments of Pewaukee is serving as contractor. President Steve DeCleene says a lot has gotten done over the last 10 months.
“[The] site got developed…eleven houses got started…several of them got finished…nine [homes] sold,” says DeCleene. “We’re just off to an awesome start. I can’t believe that we’re standing here in 10 months…really proud of that.”

DeCleene says he has never seen a municipality be a better partner to them as a developer than Beaver Dam. He also credited the city’s Economic Development Director Trent Campbell.
“That guy, he would not stop until he got something done,” says DeCleene. “He’s been great from beginning to end.”
DeCleene also thanked the city council and leaders with the Department of Public Works for their support. Beaver Dam Mayor Becky Glewen says it has been a long term effort to get new housing development projects to Beaver Dam.

“For many years…talking about trying to bring home development to Beaver Dam…and realize more and more about the problems…Steve [DeCleene] and I really connected,” says Glewen. “I think [Steve DeCleene] hit it on the head with Beaver Dam staff, [they] are incredible. And Trent lead the way and just very thankful for his leadership in putting this together.”
Stoney Ridge will include 60 single-family homes which DeCleene says should be completed by the fall. The subdivision is located near the intersection of Ollinger Road and Corporate Drive near the YMCA of Dodge County.
