Probation, Restitution Ordered In Beaver Dam Storage Unit Burglaries

(Beaver Dam) One of three defendants connected to a string of storage unit burglaries in Beaver Dam was sentenced Monday to 18 months on probation. Clayton Cartwright of Waukesha is also on the hook for $23-thousand dollars in restitution along with the two others. A 28-year-old Fox Lake man was placed on probation last year for 24 months and ordered to split restitution while a 58-year-old Beaver Dam man is slated for sentencing Tuesday.  Beaver Dam police were dispatched to Bill McCollum Way in July of 2019 after the building owner reported around $3000 in stolen property. Less than a week later, police returned after a renter reported thousands more in property was taken. A couple days later, another rental unit was broken into.
