Gymnastics

Watertown Gymnastics coach Jenna Wendt gave us this update on the Goslings meet with Waunakee.

Watertown hosted Waunakee.

Vault : Round 1- We didn’t start as strong as we wanted to with our scores however Tricia and I were very happy with how everyone vaulted.  Our hands were in the right place and we have been working on our landings.  Lauryn Olson threw her new handspring full tonight and she did very well with it, we can’t wait to see how it continues to score in the next few weeks.

Bars: Round 2- We got a 30 as a team score on bars today so that was great but I know we can do so much more.  Meghan Hurtgen got her second highest bar score of the season tonight.  We are throwing  a lot of new skills we are just trying to stay consistent and clean up our form.

Beam: Round 3- Unfortunately, we did not have a good beam day as a team.  We are working on more full sets and staying on.

Floor: Round 4- We ended on our signature event with a team score of 35.6.  We are super consistent and the girls love showing off their routines.

We have a few teammates battling injuries and coming back from being sick so we are just working on our endurance and getting back to where we were.  We have some skills to bulk up and we can’t wait to keep showing off our routines.  Varsity travels to Menomonee Falls Invite this weekend and we host another home dual on Tuesday.
