“Beaver Dam hosted Milton this afternoon and came out with a 1-0 win. This was a good soccer match with both teams creating good chances throughout the match. Our back line moved the ball well again tonight and this helped the team keep Milton off track. Our attacking midfielders did a nice job throughout the game creating some really good opportunities especially in the first half. Milton came out with more energy at the start of the 2nd half which took us out of our game for a bit. We were able to handle their pressure and get a goal pushed through midway through the 2nd half to take the lead. This was a hustle goal that motivated the guys to continue to play hard for the last 18 minutes. We host Watertown on Thursday Oct.12.” – Coach David Elgersma

“A bit of a heartbreaker tonight. I thought we played with great confidence and energy in our first two sets, playing some of the best volleyball we have all season. Lucie Hickey did a good job across the back row for us and Kylei Braatz once again carried us offensively. Breanna Meracle had 16 digs, 26 assists, and 6 aces and continues to play with such heart. Wish the results were different, but we really had some good moments tonight in front of a great crowd.” – Coach Erin Steuerwald

” It was a good night of volleyball for all teams, where in the triangular three points was the biggest separation in any set for all teams. We played some nice volleyball and are preparing well for the playoffs. Tonight, we were down a player and I thought we did well in a new situation and stayed calm throughout the process. Our serving is really coming along and will be a nice asset for us as we go forward. As we clean up a couple things moving forward we will be a tough out in the playoffs.” – Rio Coach JC Madorin
