Beaver Dam 4 Fond du Lac 1 – JR Guererro 2 goals, 1 assist

“Even though we won the match tonight, we struggled a bit tonight maintaining possession of the ball as our communication was not as good as it needed to be. The guys were frustrated at halftime and they had a good discussion as a team about what they needed to do better in the second half. We played better in the second half as we worked better as a team. We scored in the 10th minute on a goal by JR Guerrero assisted by Roli Trevino. Fond du Lac tied the score in the 13th minute on a goal by Robbie Magdaleno. Beaver Dam scored on a penalty kick by Alexis Hernandez after JR Guerrero was fouled in the box in the 20th minute. Our 3rd goal was scored in the 30th minute by JR Guerrero assisted by JJ Espinosa. Sayers Van Dusen scored our final goal in the 52nd minute on a nice cross by JR Guerrero. Sayers made a good run into the box to be in position to receive the ball and was able to place the ball past the keeper.”- Golden Beavers Coach Dave Elgersma
