1/9/12 – The preliminary hearing has been delayed again for the owner of the shuttered Beaver Dam travel agency Carol’s Tours. 56-year-old Deborah Paul was supposed to be in court on Thursday to answer to charges of Theft in a Business Setting, but Paul’s defense attorney was called to military duty until months end. Paul now has a hearing on February 13. It’s the second time her preliminary hearing has been delayed. Carol’s Tours shut down in January of 2008 leaving around 200 people without vacations. Her office manager is also charged but 46-year-old Lisa Hopper is being tried separately and a February 3rd arraignment hearing remains on the calendar.
