Pole Shed Destroyed By Fire Near Rosendale

(Springvale) A pole shed was completely destroyed by fire Friday afternoon in Fond du Lac County. Crews responded to reports of the structure fire at N6647 State Highway 26 in the Township of Springvale just after 4:30pm. Upon arrival, flames were visible from the 40-foot-by-80-foot building. The Rosendale Fire Department was quickly able to get the blaze under control, however the shed is a complete loss. Two hay wagons and a corn planter were also destroyed. The homeowner apparently caused of the fire while burning grass along the exterior of the structure, which then spread to the pole shed. It is not considered suspicious no one was injured during the incident. The property belongs to David Duve of Rosendale. Traffic on Highway 26 was able to remain open in both directions during the incident. Rosendale Fire Department and First Responders were assisted by fire departments from Lamartine, Eldorado, and Brandon-Fairwater along with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
