(Juneau) There was a special moment during the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office swearing-in ceremony Thursday. Deputy Derek Tritt, who was being promoted to patrol sergeant, got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Kayla Crump.
She said yes.
Crump also works for the sheriff’s office as a corrections officer at the Dodge County Jail. Officials with the agency say they wish both a very happy engagement and a lifetime of love.
Also during the ceremony, Detective Vickie Brugger was sworn in as sergeant of detectives. Brugger has been a long-time detective at the sheriff’s office responsible for the resolution of many major cases including the Baby Theresa case and has been lead investigator for several human trafficking arrests.
Also, Matthew Fischer was sworn in as a patrol deputy having spent the last three years working for the Dane County Jail.
Deputy Bradley Konkel was promoted to sergeant of the Drug Task Force and Deputy Donald Counard was promoted to sergeant for Lomira.
