Pasta With A Purpose Sees Successful 2023 Event

(Beaver Dam) Organizers with Pasta with a Purpose say this year’s event was a success. Beaver Dam High School’s FFA President Max Luedtke says they raised over $2,000 for the United Way of Dodge County.

The FFA is one of six student organizations at the Beaver Dam High School that put on the fundraiser. The others are DECA (the Distributive Education Clubs of America, HOSA (the Health Occupations Students of America), the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Beaver Dam Key Club. During a recent Community Comment, Luedtke said each group comes together for a good cause.

“We really didn’t give each other roles per se…we all just kind of worked together and put it on together,” says Luedtke. “After school all the organizations came down, we helped set up. We then served all the food together and then cleaned up together as well as help sell fifty-fifty raffle tickets at the basketball game.”

Luedtke says Pasta with a Purpose will be back again next year and everyone involved hopes to make it bigger and better in 2024.
