Over Twenty-Seven-Hundred Positive Covid Cases In Tuesday’s Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,790 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 28,304 active cases in the state, an increase of 86 from Monday. Active cases make up 5.5-percent of the 511-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 477-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 49 deaths bringing that total to 5,211. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the nearly two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 373-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has experienced 127 deaths, one more than yesterday, and 10,753 cases; a one-day increase of 29 positive tests. The county had 30 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,410. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 346 people.

Washington County reported two additional deaths for a total of 105 along with 12,524 cases to date, an increase of 100 from Monday; 920 are active cases.

Fond du Lac County has seen 70 deaths with 11,016 positive tests on record; 648 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County recorded one death bringing their total to 61 and 7,088 cases to date; with 399 active cases.

Columbia County has reported 33 deaths and 4,491 positive tests; there are 206 active cases.

Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,427 cases on record, 42 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
