Over 20 Dodge County Fire Departments Responded To Fire At Mud Lake

(Clyman) Over 20 Dodge County fire departments helped extinguish a blaze at Mud Lake over the weekend. A call came into the Dodge County Central Dispatch Center reporting a marsh fire at the north end of Mud Lake, near Walton Road, around 2:40pm Saturday. Due to a simultaneous call in the City of Watertown, the Clyman/Reeseville/ Lowell Fire Department was mutual aided to the call. After the agency arrived on scene, they requested aid from 24 departments across the Dodge County-area with an additional request to the Wisconsin State Drone Network for air assets. By 10:30pm Saturday, the fire was under control and drones were flying over Mud Lake to make sure there were no longer hot spots that might reignite. There were no homes or structures damaged. Dodge County Emergency Management officials did not give a cause for the fire.
