Oregon High School On Lockdown Following Gun Threat

10/15/11 – Oregon police say the high school was locked down and an arrest made Friday morning based on what is being called a “specific threat” to harm a student. The suspect allegedly said he would bring a gun to school. Police went to Oregon High School and removed the target of the threat, a 16-year-old boy. Then, the suspect reportedly came to the Oregon Police Department and made a statement. Tyler J. Kratochvil was arrested and put in jail on tentative charges of disorderly conduct, bail-jumping and disorderly conduct while armed. Despite the threat, police say no weapons were ever anywhere near the school. Investigators think the incident stemmed from a fight and an arrest last week.
