One Person Seriously Hurt Following Crash In Eldorado

(Eldorado) One person was seriously injured following a single vehicle crash in the township of Eldorado on Tuesday. Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Ridge Road at Lincoln Road around 7:30pm.

Authorities learned through their investigation that the vehicle was westbound on Lincoln Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at Ridge Road. The vehicle continued into the ditch striking the embankment, causing it to cartwheel, and land on the driver’s side.

The operator and lone occupant, an 82-year-old Eldorado woman, was wearing her seatbelt and had to be extricated by emergency personnel from the vehicle. The driver was transported to SSM Health in Fond du Lac by ambulance with serious injuries.

Law enforcement officials say failure to stop at a stop sign is a factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
