Job Summary
IDO Feed & Supply Corporation is a wholesale feed distributor selling to feed manufacturers and dealers across Wisconsin. IDO is a membership organization owned by its customers. IDO does business with both members and non-members.

This position coordinates the front office activities of IDO Feed & Supply Corp. The Office Manager/Accounting Supervisor reports to the General Manager and is responsible to oversee the day to day office activities. In addition, this position has direct financial responsibility. This includes composition of monthly and annual financial reports, including monthly financial statements, maintenance of accounting system and general ledger, administration of customer accounts, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, accounts payable and balance sheets. In addition, this position provides customer service including taking orders, addressing customer complaints and questions and any unusual customer requests. Finally, this position is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial operations for IDO
• Oversee accounts payable accounting operations
• Administer accounts receivable and cash management
• Oversee inventory system
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Complete monthly financial reports and reconciliation. These include income statement reporting, general ledger and balance sheets and any other reports as needed
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for General Manager.
• Oversee customer invoicing and cash management
• Provide customer service, including answering the phone and taking orders, e-mail and other customer correspondence
• Resolve issues as they arise
• Greet and service walk-in customers
• Answer customer related questions related to products, delivery, etc.
• Oversee office operations and supervision of office staff.
• Lead all human resources processes, including payroll, benefits, new staff training, etc.
• Work closely with the auditors at year end
• Provide year end reconciliation of all financial functions
• Provide coordination and be the lead for the annual meeting
• Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
• Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to the feed industry
• Collect appropriate data for the preparation of federal, state and local reports and tax returns
• Provide back-up support to dispatcher and buyer
• Maintain customer feed formulations

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise employees in the Administration Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work.

• Experience with inventory management and reconciliation
• Experience with financial program software programs
• Ability to perform at a high level of detail and accuracy within assigned timeframes
• Ability to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a positive manner
• Experience with payroll and other human resource functions
• Experience with providing guidance to staff
• Degree in accounting or associate’s degree from a two-year college with relevant work experience or related experience and training equivalent to the combination of education and experience
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out job from time to time
• Experience problem solving
• Agriculture industry experience and knowledge is a plus but not necessary
