OCTOBER 28TH – CHOCOLATE

Fudge Cheesecake Bars

4 (1 oz.) bars unsweetened baking chocolate

1 c. (2 sticks) butter

2 ½ c. sugar, divided

4 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 c. all-purpose flour

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

½ c. chopped chocolate coated caramel peanut nougat bars

Preheat oven to 350º. Coat a 9×13” baking dish with cooking spray. In large microwavable bowl, place baking chocolate and butter. Microwave on HIGH 2-2 ½ minutes, stirring after each minute, until chocolate and butter are completely melted. Beat in 2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, and vanilla, until blended. Stir in flour; spread batter in pan. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, remaining sugar, and remaining egg. Stir in candy. Drop by dollops over batter. With knife, swirl batter to top to create a marbled effect. Bake 40-45 minutes, or just until set. Cool completely in baking dish on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.
