November 23rd is Eat A Cranberry Day ( or in this case-DRINK one!)

Whiskey Cranberry Slushes 

2 c. whiskey, preferably Crown Royal®

6 c. cranberry juice

4 ½ c. pomegranate juice

2 c. orange juice

Juice of 2 limes

1 c. sugar

1/2 c. water

1 c. fresh cranberries, diced

Mint leaves, for garnish

Combine whiskey, 3 c. cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime juice, sugar and ½ c. water in large, shallow freezer-safe container. Stir well, then cover and freeze until mixture is icy, stirring every 20-30 minutes, 4-5 hours. Scrape frozen mixture with spoon and divide among glasses, filling them ¾ of the way. Divide remaining 3 c. cranberry juice among glasses and top with diced cranberries; stir until slushy and garnish with mint.
