Norman W. Kurtz

Norman W. Kurtz, age 87 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Norman was born on November 4, 1931 in Beaver Dam, the son of George and Alice (Ehmke) Kurtz, and was united in marriage to Lois Rollins. He worked for the Dodge County Co-Op as an auto mechanic. Norman was also a member of United Church of Christ in Juneau. During his younger years, Norman enjoyed hunting. Around the house he took pride in gardening and completing the yard work. In his free time, Norman also enjoyed watching and attending local auto races.

He is survived by children, Stephen Kurtz of Beaver Dam, Sue (Michael) Bath of Louisiana, Scott (Debbie) Kurtz of Jackson and Brad Kurtz of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Lyle (Helen) Kurtz of Beaver Dam, Georgietta (Chuck) Weinheimer of Juneau, Ray Kurtz of Neenah, and Lila Frank of Beaver Dam; and further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lois in 2018; sisters, Ruth Goss, Margaret Neuman, and June in infancy and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Norman will be held on Saturday February 23, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, from 11:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm. Private family inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.

If desired, memorials in Norman’s name may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the United Church of Christ in Juneau.
