No COVID-19 Deaths Recorded For Second Straight Day

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 567 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 10.4-percent of the 5,400 tests announced. There are 8,096 active cases in the state, a decrease of five from Sunday. Active cases make up 9.9-percent of the 81-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 72-thousand recoveries.

For the second consecutive day, state health officials recorded no deaths and that number remains unchanged at 1,168. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 188-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 890-thousand.

Dodge County has six deaths on record and 1,260 cases, an increase of six from Sunday. The county had 35 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,901.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,776 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,282 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 996 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 390 cases.

Green Lake County now has 111 cases.
