No Changes In BDUSD Board Of Education Leadership

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Unified School District Board of Education leadership will remain the same for the 2024-25 school year. After last night’s regular meeting it was decided that Chad Prieve remains as President, John Kraus, Vice-President, Joanne Tyjeski, Treasurer, and Marge Jorgensen as Clerk.

During their regular meeting the board accepted a donation of $12,500 from the Leave Your Legacy group to help with fencing and bullpen work at the baseball diamond.

“They’ve made a couple of donations now, which the community is really excited about, and I’ve heard a lot about the excitement about the lights and the first game under the lights.” Board member Joanne Tyjeski stated. “I’m really proud of their continued support of the sport and know that a lot of people are working to support our sports in a number of different ways, but this group has really stepped forward, so thanks to them.”

The Board also certified 292 graduates for the class of 2024.  The ceremony is Sunday, June 2nd at 1:30pm at the BDHS Fieldhouse.  Other action included approving 29 open enrollment requests into the district for next year, and okaying a trip to Seattle for a student who qualified for the Family Consumer Career Leaders of America national event this summer.

The board also approved resignations, retirements, leave of absences, and appointments, including Abby Schmitt as the new associate principal at Beaver Dam Middle School.

The Board will meet again on June 10th
