Nicholas I. Druecke, 30, of Mayville passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019.

A memorial gathering will be held at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, April 30th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m.  Military honors will be conducted by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146 following the service. Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens the following day.

Nicholas was born on February 3, 1989 the son of Lorne L. and Heidi (Hansen) Druecke in Waupun, WI.  He was a 2007 Beaver Dam High School graduate.  He then served his country in the United States Army stationed in Fort Hood, TX.  He served in Iraq during Operation Freedom.  After he was discharged, he attended UW Milwaukee and transferred to University of North Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.

He was currently employed at TAB Products in Mayville. He was a self-taught accomplished electric guitar player.  Nick taught lessons, composed music and wrote his own lyrics.  He belonged to the bands Dead Chords and Color Failure.

Nick was very personable and enjoyed having in depth conversations and debates with all he met.  He played baseball and hockey during his youth and club hockey during his time in the Army.

Nick is survived by his father Lorne (Jenni) Druecke; his brother Nathaniel Druecke; grandmother Ramona Hansen, step grandmother Liz (Dave) Gubine all of Beaver Dam; aunts and uncles: Sharon (Paul) Schmidt of Juneau, Shelia (Charles) Lang of West Bend, Debra (Don “Skeeter”) Stofflet of Beaver Dam, Dawn (Ed) Neuberger of Beaver Dam, Mandi (Pete) Buwalda of Randolph, Dane Hansen, Kim Hansen, Ross Hansen, and Kurt Hansen; special friends: Alex Hull and Alex Kuzniewicz and his faithful canine companion Sirius Black; also cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Heidi Schoenberger, paternal grandparents LeRoy and Evelyn Druecke, maternal grandfather Don Hansen and uncles Rodney Doughty and Dennis Druecke, step grandparents Otto and Mary Roecker, other relatives and loved ones.
