(Beaver Dam) Leadership Beaver Dam has begun its 2023-2024 class. The program exposes participants to ideas, issues, and people that are critical to the future of Beaver Dam. It meets for nine day-long sessions over the course of a year where participants learn about the city, its strengths, and the challenges the community faces. The 2023-2024 offering will be the 15th consecutive year of the program.

(Columbia County) The state of Wisconsin has revoked the licenses for 28 Columbia County wholesalers for failing to follow administrative requirements. The Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles determined that each business, co-located at 101 Skyline Drive in Arlington, violated state law when they failed to maintain a licensed business facility. The decision to revoke the licenses was affirmed by a hearing examiner decision on August 17th. Following a 30-day appeal period, the revocations became final on September 16th.

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Fairgrounds will open back up today (Saturday) for its flea market and craft fair. Dozens of vendors and artists will be traveling to Beaver Dam to bring their latest treasures and newest creations. Gates open at 8am and sales take place until 2pm. Parking and admission is free. The last flea market and craft fair scheduled this year will be on October 14th. Selection and produce changes monthly.

(Waupun) SSM Health is offering seasonal flu vaccinations to the public. Officials with the healthcare provider say with the flu season approaching, now is the time to start thinking about getting your shot. Flu vaccines are subject to availability. (Waupun) Central Wisconsin Christian is holding an open house today (Saturday) for the public to tour their new expansion. Visitors will be able to check out the schools new AgProTech wing, expanded elementary classrooms, and discovery center. The 31-thousand-square-foot, $11-million-dollar campus expansion is part of CWC’s completion of phase two of their diamond legacy campaign. The open house will run from 10am to 1pm and those interested in going are asked to enter at either the north or south entrances. Central Wisconsin Christian is located at 301 Fox Lake Road in Waupun.
