(Rubicon) Nearly six-thousand gallons of milk were spilled when two trucks collided at an intersection in Rubicon yesterday (Thursday). A FedEx delivery truck failed to yield to a milk truck at the intersection of Highway P and Highway N just before 10am. The milk truck overturned, spilling roughly 5,800 gallons of milk. The operator of the FedEx truck, 26-year-old Jose Lorenzana of Franklin, and the driver of milk truck, 28-year-old James Krueger of Mayville, were both treated for their injuries at Hartford Hospital. // The crash remains under investigation.

(Marcellon) A four-year-old was killed after getting struck by a vehicle in Columbia County Wednesday. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene on Haynes Road in the township of Marcellon around 5:11pm. The child, riding on a farm wagon, had jumped off and into the roadway. The preschooler was struck by a passing vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Pardeeville woman. Attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful. // The incident remains under investigation.

(Madison) An amber alert for a missing Madison teenager was cancelled an hour-and-a-half after it was issued yesterday (Thursday). Authorities say 17-year-old Laniyah Hampton was located. She was believed to be in the presence of Paul Williams the Third who has a warrant out for his arrest.

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam firefighter-paramedics have a new contract in place. The common council this week ratified the collective bargaining agreement between the city and the International Association of Firefighters Local 3432. Included is a cost of living increase averaging two-point-five-percent (2.5%) and a $100 increase in the uniform allowance. The contract runs through 2024.

(Beaver Dam) The second annual Beaver Dam Police Department versus Dodge County Sheriff’s Office charity softball game is tomorrow (Saturday). All money raised will be going to a local law enforcement family experiencing a serious medical condition. There event is free with money being raised through concession sales, contests, and a 50/50 raffle. Activities get underway at 11am tomorrow (Saturday) at the Beaver Dam Athletic Field, west diamond. First pitch is 12:30pm.

(Ixonia) The 16th annual Harnischfeger Park Fall Fest is being held tomorrow (Saturday) near Ashippun. The fundraising event will kick off with a pancake breakfast at 8am. There will be tractor-pulled wagon rides, beekeepers, blacksmiths, chainsaw artists and a scavenger hunt. Admission is free but certain events cost money. All proceeds are used to fund projects at the 132-acre park.
