(Waupun) A 14-mile pursuit that began in the town of Waupun early Wednesday morning ended with the suspect getting away on foot. The chase began when Fond du Lac deputies spotted a vehicle speeding on Highway 26 around 2:30am. The pursuit entered Dodge County then moved into Fond du Lac County. A tire deflation device disabled the vehicle but the driver was able to escape on foot into a nearby cornfield.

(Fox Lake) Cash bond was set at $250-thousand-dollars Wednesday for a Fox Lake man facing molestation charges. Perry Nelson allegedly assaulted three separate victims multiple times between 1992 and 1995, 2015 to 2017, and 2020 to 2021. The victims ages ranged between eight and 15-years-old. If convicted, the 56-year-old faces up to 314-and-a-half years behind bars. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 22nd.

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man was sentenced to ten years in prison and was placed on 15 years of extended supervision for possessing illicit content of children. Matthew Haase uploaded several files that were suspected to be child porn to Snapchat in October of 2020. When questioned by authorities, the 41-year-old admitted to his actions. Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg said the reports he had to read in this case from victims who were abused to make their child sex tapes and images were the most tragic collection of people’s stories he has ever read in his 20 years of doing this work.

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam School District staff members will meet Thursday to discuss and vote on whether to accept the school board’s offer for this year’s salary. District board members and administrators have been in negotiations with the Beaver Dam Education Association’s Negotiations Committee, which represents all certified professionals in the district, over raises based on last year’s average cost of living.
