(Juneau) The last so-called Gentleman’s Club in Dodge County has closed. The establishment, which has gone by many names in recent years and most recently Elite Entertainment, was located in Juneau. The new owner of the property says a real estate holding company managed by Vine and Branch Management purchased the strip club for the purpose of shutting it down and turning it into a place of worship, healing, and counseling.

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam School District officials are commending the staff of Wilson Elementary as the facility will be transitioning into a host site for childcare. The district has teamed up with Community Care to repurpose the building into a facility for childcare services. Beaver Dam School District Superintendent Mark DiStefano says he is “proud” of the Wilson staff for making this last year special for students. There is an open house planned at Wilson in May for the public.

(Juneau) The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County is highlighting an upcoming program aimed at shining a light on issues impacting older adults. The Aging Advocacy Day is taking place on May 13th from 10am to 3pm at the Wisconsin State Capital. Registration to attend this year’s Aging Advocacy Day is this Friday.

(Watertown) Watertown Regional Medical Center was recently recognized for its commitment to patient safety. The hospital was named a recipient of Healthgrades’ 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award. The award recognizes hospitals that excel at providing top-quality care while preventing serious safety events during hospital stays. This designation marks the third consecutive year the hospital has earned the top honor for patient safety from Healthgrades. 

(Beaver Dam) Electricity at Beaver Dam’s Swan Park will be disconnected for the next several days. The city’s Department of Public Works says a new electrical service is being installed at the park this week. They add that, weather permitting, electricity will be back on by the end of the day on Friday.

(Wisconsin) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is urging those heading up to Green Bay for the NFL Draft to make a plan before hitting the road. Transportation officials say construction is starting up for many highway projects across the state. Motorists are reminded to slow down and avoid distractions, especially in work zones.
