(Elba) Serious injuries were reported following a single-vehicle crash just east of Columbus yesterday (Monday) afternoon. A 20-year-old rural Randolph man was heading east on Highway 16/60 in the township of Elba and failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected, and lost control before overturning. The driver was transported by ambulance to a level one trauma center with serious injuries. His 21-year-old male passenger, also from Randolph, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are believed to be not serious. The crash remains under investigation.

(Beaver Dam) Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam and Ripon College have announced a guaranteed admission partnership for international students. Named the Ripon-Wayland Connection, the pilot program seeks to provide international students with a guaranteed admission and financial aid to attend Ripon College at a cost that is comparable to attending Wayland. Head of Schools Jason Warnick says the program will run for the next four years. He adds that the two campuses will assess then if the outcomes match their goals.
(Beaver Dam) SSM Health Eye Care Services in Waupun recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. The 5,400-square-foot area on the lower level of SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital’s two-story addition, offers the services of an ophthalmologist, optometrist, and eye care assistants using advanced diagnostic capabilities.
