(Beaver Dam) Construction of the new SSM Health Clinic in Beaver Dam is on schedule. While some exterior work remains, efforts are now shifting to interior projects just in time for colder weather. Senior Project Manager Kyle Prochaska says November into January is the most impactful time for interior work. He says this moth is being spent on flooring and lighting fixtures, as well as ceiling work. Cabinets and drawers are being delivered for construction teams to install. Other crews will be mounting ceiling tiles once all the mechanical and electrical work is completed.
Prochaska says all drywall was installed in the facility by the end of last month. He says for interior work, they started top down and the second floor is nearly finished while painting is underway on the first floor. Work crews are finishing up sidewalks and will install trees and a few other plantings at the front of the building with additional landscaping and parking lot work to follow in the spring of 2021.
Once completed, the facility will house SSM Health primary and specialty care providers, as well as imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services. It will also move services currently provided in leased space adjacent to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam to the new location. The plan is to begin to provide patient care in the clinic in February 2021.
