New PLANNING Ahead Program Offered in Dodge County

(Madison) The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension has created a new online class called PLANNING Ahead to address most aspects of end-of-life planning and Dodge County residents are invited to join.

A free in-person course at the Juneau Public Library will be facilitated by Pattie Carroll of UW Extension Dodge County, and both Amanda Higgins and Jordan Eberhardt from the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County.

The course will guide participants through multiple end-of-life aspects including examining health care wishes, financial responsibilities, and legal requirements and documentation.

The program is designed both for those who want to prepare for their own passing, to make things easier for family members and those who have, or are in the process of, losing a loved one and dealing with the transition.

Classes are on Thursday mornings for six weeks from 9am to 10:30pm beginning March 28. A link to register is available HERE, or you can call 920-386-7890. Those interested in registering should do so no later than March 22.
