(Juneau) Referrals are now being accepted for a treatment program to help people in Dodge County who are suffering from opioid use. The initiative was aided by a state grant awarded to both Dodge and Fond du Lac counties to meet the needs of individuals on a regional basis who are struggling with addiction. The program also includes a subcontract with a Milwaukee based non-profit called Justice Point. Dodge County Health and Human Services Director Rebecca Bell says if a person is concerned about a loved one they can call her department at 920-386-3500 for a referral so they can begin treatment serves through Justice Point. Bell says the treatment program offers a wide variety of services including outpatient services, day treatments, intensive outpatient programming as well as detox services and residential treatment. Bell says there is budgeted dollars for transportation which can assist those who may not be able to make it to an appointment. All assessments are conducted at the human services and health department located at 199 County Road DF in Juneau. Bell says funding runs through April of 2019 but notes that a successful program can get additional backing for four years.
