New Circuit Judge Named For Madison Area

6/22/17 – A state Justice Department attorney has been named as a new circuit judge for the Madison area. Governor Scott Walker has appointed Timothy Samuelson of Middleton to replace Dane County Circuit Judge John Markson, who spent almost ten years as the Branch One judge before he left earlier in June. Samuelson was with the attorney general’s office for the past five years as the head of a unit that investigated Medicaid fraud and elder abuse. He was also the Number two person in the department’s appeals and special litigation unit. Last year, Samuelson was a finalist for the new chief administrator of the state Ethics Commission.
