(Waupun) The Fond du Lac County Health Department is offering Narcan training as part of its efforts to reduce the negative impact of opioids in the community. Narcan trainings are for anyone who is affected by opioid use, including individuals who use drugs, or friends and family members of individuals as well as those who work with people who use opioids. Narcan can reverse an overdose that may occur.
At the training you will receive a free Narcan Kit with two doses of nasal Narcan. Training locations include the Waupun Public Library on June 22nd from 6 to 7pm with mini walk-in trainings from 5:30 to 6pm. In Fond du Lac, training will be on June 1st at the Fond du Lac Public Library during those same times and at Adelaide Park on June 18th from 11am to 1pm.
The Campbellsport Library will host a session on July 14th from 5 to 6pm with a mini walk-in training from 4:30 to 5pm. Registration is online.
