(Fond du Lac) A routine traffic stop near the township of Byron in Fond Du Lac County early Yesterday (Saturday) morning led to a multi county high speed pursuit. At 1:30am a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle traveling on Interstate 41 near County Road Y. The Deputy initiated the traffic stop after witnessing a speeding violation of 93mph in a posted 70mph zone. The driver failed to stop and continued traveling southbound on I41. The pursuit then entered Washington County where speeds increased to 105mph. Tire deflation devices were deployed at several locations but were unsuccessful in slowing the vehicle. The driver brought the vehicle to a stop on I41 near Pioneer Road where deputies had another tire deflation device deployed. Officers took the driver, a 28 year old female from Green Bay into custody for Felony Knowingly Fleeing an Officer. A 27 year old female passenger from Bonduel was also taken into custody for resisting arrest, threats to law enforcement, discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, and several warrants. There were no injuries or damage to property during the pursuit which in total spanned a distance of 25.3 miles. Assisting in the pursuit were Deputies from Washington County and troopers from Wisconsin State Patrol.
