How much water per day will help you lose weight?

Many people know drinking lots of water throughout the day has health benefits to it and can help you lose weight, but how do you know just how much your body type needs to be effective?  Here is a simple way to calculate how much water you should be drinking in a day:

Multiply your weight by 2/3 (.67) – this will give you a good approximation of how much water to drink in a day.

To take it a step further you will want to adjust that based on how much you work out.  Add an additional 12 ounces to your daily total for every 30 minutes you work out.
