MPTC Holding Christmas Shoebox Drive

(Beaver Dam) The Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam campus is holding a shoebox drive. The fundraiser will aid those who are serving our country overseas and try to bring a taste of the holidays during their deployment. Items that can be dropped off include deodorant, eye drops, sunflower seeds, granola bars, flavored drink mixes, paperback books, and card games. Donated supplies can be no larger than a shoebox. Lead of MPTC Student Life Lisa Manuell says giving a shoebox is a great way to show that you care for those who cannot be with family during the holiday season. Citizens are encouraged to stop by the campus on November 13 from 10am to 1pm to help assemble the boxes. Moraine Park’s goal is to collect enough items to fill at least 200 shoebox-sized packages and have them in the hands of servicemen and woman by Christmas.
