MPTC Extends Campus Accessibility Restrictions

(Beaver Dam) Moraine Park Technical College is extending their limited campus accessibility restrictions until at least January 4, 2021. In early June, Moraine Park announced its five-phased Reopening Plan and has now transitioned through nearly each phase. The college is expecting to enter their final phase as planned, on October 1. As part of the final phase, Moraine Park will continue to hold classes, events and activities, however campuses will remain closed to the general public.

Facility rental and usage by external groups, including campus walkers, will remain unavailable until at least January. As the date gets closer, college leadership will reevaluate the opening date, following the health department’s metrics and guidelines. Moraine Park President Bonnie Baerwald says COVID-19-related illnesses and exposures currently remain low on each campus. While that could change quickly, she says their leadership team is hopeful in the safety measures implemented, along with continued accountability of students and staff for personal health and hygiene.

Moraine Park Technical College has campuses in Fond du Lac, Beaver Dam, and West Bend, and regional centers in Jackson and Ripon, serving over 18,000 students annually.
