MPTC Details Results of Voter Survey

(Beaver Dam) Moraine Park Technical College President Bonnie Baerwald says a survey sent out to voters in the Moraine Park District helped define parameters for a possible referendum in November. She says respondents said they were more likely to support four projects at a cost of $55 million than the five proposed projects at $75 million. Those four projects would include major renovations and additions to their Fond du Lac and West Bend campuses and construction of a Regional Training Center for firefighters in Beaver Dam. She says the Moraine Park Foundation has already raised $2 million to offset the costs for automation, innovation and robotics at their Trade and Manufacturing Wing in Fond du Lac. The next step toward a referendum is a public hearing which will be held at 5:15 pm Monday, July 11th at Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus.
