Motorist Seriously Injured In Crash That Split Car In Two

(Town of Hubbard) Six people were injured, one seriously, in a Town of Hubbard crash that split a car in two. A Honda Accord was westbound on Highway 33 around 11:30am Wednesday when it slowed to make a left-hand turn onto County Road TW and was struck from behind by a Dodge van. The Honda spun into the opposite lane and was struck by an eastbound Toyota, splitting the Honda in two. The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The driver and a passenger in the Toyota both received minor injuries and were transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital.  The driver of the van suffered serious injuries and was transported to Columbus Community Hospital, along with two children in the van who sustained minor injuries. Traffic on both highways was diverted for over two hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Mayville and Horicon Police, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Dodge County Emergency Response Team and Fire/EMS agencies from Horicon, Mayville, Beaver Dam and Juneau.
