Moraine Park’s Manufacturing Boot Camp Gives Recovering Drug Addict Second Chance

(Dodge County)  A Fond du Lac man feels as if he has gotten a second chance thanks to Moraine Park Technical College.  JP Jesion  says he was living a self-defeating lifestyle but was searching for something more when he found the MPTC Manufacturing Skills Academy boot camp program.  Jesion, a recovering drug addict was looking for a way to redefine his life and set some career goals for himself after having nearly died from a fentanyl overdose only two years prior.  The 15-week program allowed Jesion the opportunity to intern with Mid-States Aluminum learning crucial on the job skills and obtain a full-time position with Mid-States Aluminum after his graduation from the program this past May.  Jesion served as a student speaker at the school’s graduation ceremony.
