(Dodge County) Moraine Park Technical College has been selected as the 2018 Wisconsin Women’s Higher Education Leadership (WWHEL) Chapter of the Year. The Wisconsin Women’s Higher Education Leadership program provides opportunities for networking, information sharing and support for women in leadership and encourages women faculty and staff to pursue leadership positions. They also help and support women to develop specific skills, connect with colleagues who can provide valuable insight into the administrative role, identify career development contacts, and access state and national resources.
Moraine Park’s nomination came as a direct result of it’s growing leadership workshop for women that is held at the college each spring. Corinne Ness, Vice President of the Wisconsin Women’s Higher Education Leadership board, says the board is appreciative of the ongoing efforts Moraine Park has put into building programs for women’s leadership through exceptional workshops, and they celebrate the excellence the college has put into it’s tradition of spring workshops.
