Monday COVID-19 Update

(Dodge County) Monday was another day with no reported COVID-19 deaths in Wisconsin. The Department of Health Services also reported just 178 new confirmed positive cases on Monday – the first time that number’s dropped below 200 since last June. The seven-day average percent positive by test was 2.2%, and has remained below 3% for weeks. There were 255 hospitalized COVID patients as of Monday. That’s up slightly from the previous day, but the number of hospitalized patients has stayed below 300 for more than a week.

The state department of health’s website says Dodge County has experienced 157 deaths along with 11,466 cases, a one-day increase of five positive tests. Health officials Dodge County say they are actively monitoring 105 cases. Washington County has seen 135 deaths with 13,855 cases. Fond du Lac County has 97 deaths with 11,975 cases; 124 are active cases. In Jefferson County, the death toll is at 113 with 7,928 cases; 37 are active cases. Columbia County has seen 54 deaths with 5,074 cases; 56 are active cases. In Green Lake County, there have been 18 deaths and 1,521 cases. Statewide, there are 6,850 active cases; a one-day decrease of 235 cases.
