MMCBD Pauses Scheduling COVID Vaccinations Due To High Demand

(Beaver Dam) Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam has paused scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations due to high demand. Based on current availability of the vaccine, appointments have filled the clinic schedule through April. The hospital’s Chief Administrative Officer Angelia Foster says they are excited by the tremendous response of the community looking to secure the vaccine. She says in one day, they had over one-thousand calls. Foster adds that they want everyone who wants the vaccine to receive it, but they must manage the supply and the specific guidance on phasing as outlined by the state. Those who currently qualify for the vaccine which includes frontline health care workers, emergency responders and those 65 and older, can be placed on a waitlist available online at www.marshfieldclinic.org/specialties/infectious-diseases/covid-19-vaccine. If you do not have access to the internet, people can call 855-908-5029 and leave a message to receive a call back. Further information will be released as soon as scheduling reopens.
