MMCBD Now Accepting Applications For Community Health Grants

(Beaver Dam) Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam is now accepting applications for their fourth round of Community Health Grants. The program was created as part of a comprehensive initiative to ensure the hospital’s health and well-being efforts placed a greater focus on local needs. The community health priorities were identified through a needs assessment in 2021.

The hospital has already granted $75-thousand-dollars to area community organizations through the program. A recent grant awardee, Open Door Coffeehouse in Mayville, was able to train staff on social emotional learning life tolls through the grant funding. The trained staff then implemented the programing through after school efforts in conjunction with area school districts.

Hospital officials say all local nonprofit groups doing work to improve the health and well-being of the Dodge County area are encouraged to apply. Applications, which are due by March 20th, must also align with at least one of the Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam Community Health Priorities. Those are Alcohol and Substance Misuse, Behavioral Health, as well as Health Equity.
