Milwaukee Man Arrested Following Pursuit With Fond Du Lac Police

(Fond du Lac) A Milwaukee man was arrested following a pursuit with Fond du Lac police early Monday morning. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle around 12:18am near the area of South Butler Street but it accelerated away.

The pursuit eventually reached Highway 41 where law enforcement reported going roughly 100-miles-per-hour. Authorities were able to successfully deploy spike stripes and the vehicle came to a stop in the state rest area 63 on I-41.

The 24-year-old driver took off on foot but was quickly arrested. He is facing felony Fleeing and First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety charges. Two Milwaukee-area teens, who were passengers in the vehicle, were also taken into custody.

One of the teens is facing a charge of Resisting while the other, a 15-year-old girl, was entered as a runaway out of Milwaukee. The incident is still under investigation.
