Milwaukee Man Arraigned On Lomira Wayside Attack Charges

(Lomira) A Milwaukee man charged in connection with the assault and robbery of a truck driver at a wayside in Lomira was arraigned Tuesday. Keenan Brown entered a not guilty plea to felony charges of Robbery with Use of Force and Substantial Battery. Last September, an out-of-state truck driver stopped at the rest area on southbound 41 and was attacked by two individuals who left with the victim’s wallet, cell phone and roughly $90 dollars in loose change. The truck driver suffered a fractured jaw, brain hemorrhaging, head lacerations and the loss of a canine tooth. Authorities sent the victim’s clothing in for testing which allegedly came back positive with DNA from Brown. The 24-year-old, who was on parole at the time for robbery with the use of force in Milwaukee, denied any involvement in the wayside attack. Brown did provide buccal swabs for additional DNA testing which reportedly further confirmed his involvement. If convicted, Brown faces up to 18-and-a-half years in prison.
