(Beaver Dam) A Milton teen made his initial appearance in court this week on charges he ran from Dodge County deputies. Trenton Hines is facing a felony count Fleeing. During the early morning hours Sunday (November 1st), a sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Beaver Dam for speeding. According to the criminal complaint, as the deputy activated his emergency lights the vehicle increased its speed. A pursuit that lasted over 12-miles ensued and reached top speeds of 111-miles-per-hour. The vehicle stopped just short of spike strips placed by deputies on Highway 151 just north of Industrial Drive. Hines, who was reportedly identified as the driver, was taken into custody. If convicted, the 17-year-old faces no more than three-and-a-half years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a judge will decide next month if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
