New Horicon/Hustisford football coach Tim Meyer is excited to take the reins of a program that had a historic run last season, sharing the Eastern Suburban Conference title and reaching the WIAA Division Five State Semifinals.
Meyer has had coaching stops at all levels of football. Last season he was the offensive coordinator with the Princeton-Green Lake 8-player program and also helped out as an assistant at Horicon-Hustisford.. He has previous coaching experience as well in Randolph from 2017 to 2022.
“What I was doing in Randoph all through those youth seasons, is very similar to what Coach Fiacco was did (last season at Husticon).” Coach Meyer told ESPN Beaver Dam. “You’re not going to see a whole lot different. We may bolter the staff a little bit, but for the most part we have to keep moving forward as fast as we can. The ground work is in place. Now it’s a matter of just keeping the wheels turning.”
Husticon opens their season on August 23rd at Lomira. DailyDodge TV will broadcast their game on August 30th when they host Mayville.
Meyer takes over for Jason Fiacco, who stepped down for personal reasons earlier this summer.
