(Marquette) Authorities busted a meth lab in Green Lake County. The Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, as part of an on-going investigation came upon a methamphetamine lab at 418 East Second Street in the Village of Marquette on Tuesday morning. Information gathered previously by law enforcement led to contact at the residence where law enforcement discovered numerous items consistent with the production of methamphetamine including chemicals, supplies, and other paraphernalia. A 53-year-old Marquette man and a 26-year-old Marquette man were taken into custody.
Due to the volatile and chemically hazardous nature of methamphetamine labs, Green Lake County was aided by many other agencies including the Division of Criminal Investigation Clandestine Lab Entry Team, Marquette Fire Department, Markesan Fire Department, and Southern Green Lake County EMS. Clean-up of the meth lab took several hours and lasted well into Tuesday evening. The names of the suspects will be released upon formal charging by the Green Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
