(Beaver Dam) Area youth sold off their prize-winning livestock during Thursday night’s 61st Annual Meat Animal Auction at the Dodge County Fair.
In the Market Beef Auction, Caleb Wiechmann of Waterloo sold his Champion Beef for $.25 a pound to Professional Floor Covering. Matthew Roche of Columbus sold his Sale Champion Dairy to UWGP for $4.25 a pound. Brody Behring of Beaver Dam had his Champion Crossbred go for $3.25 a pound to Stoll’s Olde 149. Faith Wiechmann of Waterloo sold her Reserve Champion Beef to Rosewood Show Cattle at $3.25 a pound. Bentley Gentz of Juneau got $5,00 a pound by Schoppe Farms for his Sale Reserve Champion Dairy. Hudson Henschel-Paar of Reeseville sold his Reserve Champion Crossbred for $3.75 a pound to Linck Agribusiness.
The Market Lamb followed the beef. Juneau’s Wyatt Redecker got $18.50 a pound from Premere Insurance for his Sale Grand Champion Homebred. Ava Wilson of Cottage Grove sold her Grand Champion Market for $10.50 a pound to Watertown Agri Business. Elliott Redecker of Juneau got $13.50 for his Sale Reserve Champion Homebred from Helena. Beaver Dam’s Brianna Ganske sold her Sale Reserve Champion Market to Dean Farms for $10.50.
The Market Hogs finished off the auction as Harmony Henschel-Paar of Reeseville got $6.00 a pound from Miller Equipment for her Supreme Champion. The Sale Champion Barrow, brought by Audrina Donegon of Watertown, went for $5.50 a pound to Donegon Construction. Aurora Donegone, also of Watertown, sold her Reserve Champion Gilt for $5.50 a pound to Specialty Cheese. Bartlett Family bought the Sale Reserve Champion Barrow from Ty Thorson of Columbus for $5.75 a pound.
